Confessions of a chubby prego lady...

So something happened the other day that I couldn't resist to blog about. First because I, being a HUGE people-watcher, would've loved to have witnessed, and Second because what else am I going to do with my time. I figure I need to brush up on my story telling skills so Rayder won't be complete bored with me.

The other day I was at work about to go to lunch. I was walking by my TL's desk and she offered me a doughnut.
I said, " I probably shouldn't, but they look really good."
She replied,"Well think about it this way..in november you will lose at least 8 pounds in ONE day."
I said,"Very good point, thank you!" and then proceeded to pick the little chocolate baked gem in the corner with vanilla frosting and pink sprinkles.

just wait.

I then headed to the elevator to go up to the top floor to eat my lunch. Now here's where the imagery kicks in...you ready? So i'm standing there with my blue lunchbox slung over my shoulder, my bright orange XANGO mug in one hand, my gem of a doughnut in the other, and i'm trying to scheme a way of pushing button 4 and scanning my name tag without dropping anything. The wheels in my head start turning and i get the brilliant idea that i should just jump to scan my nametag (it hangs around my neck and hits about mid belly mind you)and push the 4 button with my pinky. So the attempt begins and in 3 seconds flat i have managed to NOT scan my name tag but hit every single floor on the elevator with my huge belly, and then proceed to set of the alarm, which takes me to the bottom floor instead of my destination of the 4th floor.

I can only imagine the look on the security guards face as he's watching the whole thing on his monitor. What I should've done once i arrived at the bottom floor was peek around the corner and say," OMG did you see that! please tell me that your monitor has that recorded! because i'd be a shu-in(?) for the million dollars on america's funniest home videos for that!" but because i was hunger stricken and in shock/embarassed about the prior events, i just looked right at the camera and started shaking my head.
